Friggin a. Its been a while since i wrote in this thing. I want to all the time, but life has been hectic lately and I just find the time in the day to sit down and write in here, and the longer i go without writing, the more i think i have to put down so i just put it off. Maybe i will try to update every other day or something with little bits of info. it doesnt have to be a complete rundown of my whole life and times now does it? yes. I think it does. Thats how we do it in my hood. and by my hood, i mean me and dirty mike. we cant just write a paragraph, it has to be 20 pages of nothing. Wooo.
Just got back from a little trip to Toronto. It was a good time. It was myself. Danny. Aka Ding Dong dolla doink dust dubba doo wop dan. And justin, father of ZOD. Saw the sox play the blue jays 3 times. Yeah they only won 1 of the 3 games, but whatever, we had a good time, got to see the players all up close, got to listen to justin heckle them all, and destroy jays fans around him that tried to silence them. I gotta say, I like watching the sox, over the past couple years I like it more and more. Im not a sports guy by any means, but its a good time.
We saw some strippers, got some private dances, ate at a horrible Italian restaurant, walked way too much, dan set the record for most hot dogs eaten from sidewalk vendors in Canadian history, and we drove way too long. The rides took forever, NY state never ends. fuck you new york, for many reasons. Got back at 3am and was just messed up for 2 days.
What else? Hmmm. Ah yes. Working on squad stuff like mad. We have to have a sampler done by the first of may and an impressive spread for the comic show at the RED HOOK BREWERY for the 22nd of may. We have a table there amongst some other local talent and some well known names. Its the beginning of our big break, you just wait and see. Would appreciate anyone who can show up, even for a few minutes, come buy a comic from us, help us out. Its gonna rule.
So yeah, Josh and I have been busting our asses getting comics done and keepign the site updated, and we are getting a crazy number of hits ever since our article dropped in the Fosters showcase, its great. It went from like 20 hits a week to like almost 2000 in 3 weeks. so cool. Those numbers shall continue to climb too, you just watch. Mark my words again god damnit. I cant wait to just be a cartoonist instead of wasting my life in that same fucking job i hate with a hatred that they dont make words vile enough to describe. One day, i will wake up and shower and just go to the studio to work on little pictures of fat guys all day and get paid for it. Thats called heaven ladies and gents.
