Goodbye, Mousie! But only one mousie!
Time will tell whether my mouse problem is solved.
It was really hard, as I carried mousie in the humane trap, to a field a mile away from my home, to watch mousie scurrying about and grooming itself in the trap.
I had to steel myself. This is not the domesticated mousie of my childhood. This is a wild salmonella-carrying mousie, who would not be happy in a cage.
So mousie ran off, and I discarded the salmonella-laden trap, and moved a new large humane trap to the same position - in case any of Mousie's friends and relations are anywhere around.
