The Brit Award nominations this year are an absolute farce. The acts who I thought deserved recognition (such as Delays and R.E.M.) are absent from the lists and acts that haven't been around for long enough seem to get instant recognition. Yet again, certain decisions seem to be ill conceived. If Kasabian are worthy of their "Best British Group" nomination, why aren't they up for "Best British Breakthough Artist" like Keane and Franz Ferdinand are? "Absoluton" by Muse is a cracking album but that came out in 2002 and who the hell decided to put Band Aid 20 up for Best Single?! For gawd's sake!
