Feed The What?

So "Band Aid 20" has officially been launched and for want of a better word, it's shite. No, it really is awful. If anybody wants to listen to "Feed The World" this year, I'm urging them to hunt out the original that is bound to be on a Christmas compilation CD hidden away in their houses somewhere and make a personal donation to the cause if they ( Read more... )

The sad thing is that there is quite a lot of decent musical talent involved in this. I don't understand why they couldn't, say, get all the acts to make a track each and release an album. Then at least it could have turned out to be a worthwhile musical venture.

A few years back XFM released a fantastic album of Christmas song covers for charity. It was one of the best albums I ever bought.

That was the XFM album, albeit rather expensive now! But check out the track listing. Utterly fantastic. They should have done something like this. It's not brain surgery.

That definitely is a great idea and shows much more incentive than a simple rehash of a classic Christmas track. Maybe we should all buy this instead!

The lyrics are patronising, outdated and false anyway, they should have at least altered them in the 20 years they've been given to do so.

It might as well be called "Those Poor Widdle Africans! AWWW AREN'T THEY CUTE?"
