Back again
It appears as though I haven't made a post in roughly 9 months. The time just flies by. Anyhow, seems like something I should get back into now. Partly because I am running out of things to do on the internet and partly because my time spent actually conversing with other human beings is probably going to be getting towards all-time lows here in the near future.
The more interesting part of the story is of course why exactly I am running out of things to do on the internet.
The short version: I am now banned on 4chan. Not "everyday run of the mill" banned either, I am perma-banned. Getting banned on 4chan requires either profound idiocy or a blatant attempt to be banned. Being permanently banned usually require both. I suppose my only issue with it is that I don't have a good story to go with it.
So brace yourself, because this isn't exactly going to be hilarious or anything. Basically I had been enjoying /co/ (comics & cartoons) recently primarily because they often have threads of just sketches and/or sketch requests. It can be entertaining and yeah, believe it or not some of them are actually decent. It's a good way to waste time if you wanna draw. Anyhow I had done a sketch (totally SFW and everything) and was saw one of these threads and thought, "Shit, let's see if anyone has anything to say here and post it". I figured I'd put a name in so that if anyone had any comments or ?'s I could respond appropriately. For lack of a better name I picked "Hank Scorpio" which is sort of my preffered online alias nowadays. So I try to post and it tells me the thread was over the image limit (it was a big ass thread). So i say "whatever" and try to go back and reload the main page. That's when i see this gem
That's right. I have been banned for ban evasion. There was a pretty big double take here. Because I'm reading the above image and I'm like "Lol, I've been banned. This should be good. What did I do?...wait, I'm PERMANENTLY banned? Now I REALLY want to know what I did! This had better be awesome!...'ban evasion', wait, what? That doesn't make any fucking sense. I was never regular banned." Anyways, I appealed I and was pretty straight forward about the fact that I didn't have a clue what was going on and that there was a 1% chance the name I happened to post under was the alias of someone else or something, I don't know. They didn't give two shits (I don't blame them) and so here we are.
In any case I think it's for the best probably. I mentioned it to Mike the other day because since we're all on the same IP there was that slim chance he did something. His reaction was, "You got banned...permanently!? Holy shit, what did you do!...you didn't do something illegal did you?" And in the end all i can say is "I didn't actually DO anything." But you can see what I mean about wanting a better story out if right?
