I quite like taking photographs of small things like birds, insects or flowers close up, with a wide aperture setting in order to blur the background (and often foreground).
This is a pink insect of some sort of dragonfly type species, sitting on a leaf. Snapped in the Orchid Garden in Kuala Lumpur just before a typical tropical downpour. Focal length is 11mm macro mode - so as you can guess, the insect wasn't too bothered about me getting a lens almost touching him.
