It's been an odd few days, really. Things are all kind of up in the air at the moment, but I've still managed to make this:
It may not look it due to the lack of icing, but somehow this is the sweetest cake in the world! I doubled everything from the basic vanilla cupcake recipe from VCTOTW and sandwiched them together with buttercream and cherry jam. I couldn't actually finish my slice, which worries me somewhat... Less vanilla and less sugar next time, perhaps!
