my brain has offered me an alternative to them killing dylan, which came with an exciting! plot twist (which was less exciting to me as i didn't know the plot had originally been going in a different direction but which made alicia go 'oh! oh! brainwave!') but which i find so gruesome as an image i refuse it.

Part of why I'm getting nothing done?  The thing in my head that's trying to get all my attention is a story that Must.  Not.  Happen.  It would be a phenomenal waste of time and energy and also just generally a Bad Idea.
