I think I've forgotten something fundamental

Perhaps my mind?

I suspect I left it somewhere...
But of all the somewheres,
None are here.

Was it the fun in fundamental?
Was it the mental in the fun?

This was both beautiful and poignant. It struck a chord since I've been unable to write for a couple of months. Also, since my Mom's memory has gotten worse, your title and last line have particular meaning for me.

Love this visual: "Crashing down to re-bar frames,
Naked against a fading sky."

Wonderful. Thank you!

Thank you very much for reading and taking the time to tell me you enjoyed my poem! It's really lovely to know that someone else saw something in something that had meaning to me. My grandmother has been having memory problems (as did her mother before her) so some of this poem did spring from a discussion I was having with a friend about that a couple days ago. It's interesting that it connected with that to you as well.
