Man, this "fast" thing hasn't been hard until a few days ago. I'm just craving chicken like a motha. I'm not fond of beef anyway, so no problem there. I already decided though, on the last day of my fast I'm having a peperoni pizza and chewy chocolate chip cookies. Killing me more than the chicken thing is the chocolate thing. I am what you might call a "chocoholic" and thus it's been hard not to have any the last 2 weeks. Only one more week to go and I'll be done!
Oh, and I've lost 5 pounds! So, that's a start I suppose. My brother(the preach) already lost 9 pounds, so bravo to him. I know if I was more active I would loose more weight. So, this last week of my fast I need to be more active and see how much more I can loose. Either way I would still like to continue this healthy eating, but incorporating lean chicken in there as well.
I've really enjoyed learning how to prepare and cook fruits and veggies I had never cooked before. Like Brussels sprouts for example. I had never cooked Brussels sprouts at home, and now I have! And eggplant, a strange fruit I had never prepared, and now I've made a delicious eggplant Parmesan with veggie cheese. It was delish! Oh and this great vegetarian chili with garbanzo beans and red kidney beans, it tasted just like chili!
Anyway, one more week and I'm home free.
