So last night after the friday night meeting here at YWAM Perth a group of us from the different schools when downtown into Northbridge, which is pretty much club central for Perth. We stood on the sidewalk and sang worship songs and talked to anyone who stopped long enough to try and figure out what we were doing. It was so spontaneous and exciting! One really amazing thing that happend was when Christa, one of the girls that was with us, prayed over the area that people would just not be able to help but dance in praise as they passed through the area of the sidewalk we had taken over. within 5 minutes an impromptu dance party broke out right where we were standing! And it wasn't gross dancing, it was just like they couldn't help but move as they passed through. I got to talk to a girl and she had to run but she said she wanted to talk some more and she gave me her number and her business card. She works in East Perth, not far from the base. Before we got to Northbridge though, Christa, Meghan Miller and I got to talk to a 22 year old guy that had just gotten kicked out of Northbridge for being too rowdy. We prayed with him and he kept going on and on about how he wanted to learn more about God and Jesus and that he used to be an aetheist but was questioning now. Luckily (i.e. by the sovreignty of God) I had grabbed my bible as I was running out the door and was able to give it to this guy, his name is Jason. And he said he really wanted to come to our friday night meeting next week. So we'll see what happens with that. Now I just need a bible. Ha! I figure there might be a few laying around here some where, so no worries.

This morning the staff cooked pancakes for the DTS and later today a group of us are going to the Gravity Games in Victoria park. It's FINALLY beginning to warm up here. I walked outside this morning and didn't absolutely freeze for the first time since I got here. I'm sure I'll soon be wishing for the cooler weather once we hit the heat of the summer here, but right now I'm ready to be warm.

This first week has been really good and really challenging. I'mlooking forward to the next 11 weeks to see how God will grow me and then I can hardly wait for outreach in Egypt.

Oh, yes, I forgot. My work duties here are to work on The Chapter, a yearbook for each quarter that comes through. I get to write for it and design it. How cool is that? I get to do exactly what I love to do.
