(no subject)
i tidied my room yesterday. It took almost four hours, and i estimated that it would take 2 hours tops...grrr! It was a priority one job though, 'cos i saw my star sign report last weekend, and it said that there was a task that had been lingering for a long time that i needed to complete by november 24...and i'm a very superstitious guy, so it had to be done! It was hard work. After that i settled down with a nice kirk's creaming soda and watched gremlins on one of my new foxtel movie channels 'cos when the rugby finished on saturday i got depressed and decided on a whim that i'd subscribe to more channels so now i have about 7 movie channels! After the rugby i watched mulholland drive, also on one of my new movie channels, but i fell asleep so i watched a repeat of it yesterday. I got a bit confused when all the characters started switching around, but i wasn't too stressed about it.
After an exellent karaoke workout on friday night i noticed that one of my sneakers has a rather big hole in it. i wanted to get new sneakers anyway, but i guess now it's more of a priority, especially since the weather sux and there's puddles about everywhere. It's probably come as a result of all the walking i've been doing in the last week or so! It's great, i feel way more awake these days, and i noticed this morning that i fit in to these pants i'm wearing today a lot better than i did a week or two ago.
The wallabies put up a top effort on saturday :)
They were beaten by the better side, blah blah blah. i keep thinking about how when we were leading 5-0 and flatley attempted the conversion from near touch, and it missed going in by centimetres. We might have won if not for that...soooo close. But our lineouts sucked, our kicking in general play was pretty bad, and we dropped too many ball, but they tried their hardest and that's all you can ask of anyone :)
i couldn't leave the house after that though 'cos i couldn't bare to face up to the thousands of poms out to paint the town red and stick it up our noses. i think though that australia has taken the defeat reeeally well, which is something we don't normally do, so that's at least something to be proud of!
i've decided i'm finally gonna buy a dvd player!! i'm just gonna go down to harvey norman on the weekend and get myself a cheapish one and be done with it!
