I never saw the mini series, but I thought season 1 of BSG was awesome. Seriously some of the best, if not THE best, sci fi I've ever seen on TV. Definitely not much in the way of slow or dull and lots in the way of OMG, and holy shit! and whoa. I would rec Season 1 to anyone. Season two started out strong, but got crappy in the middle. The season finale this Friday was great though(it has taken me a couple of days to get over the mind fuck to come to this opinion). We'll have to wait till October to see if they build something good with it.
