I officially gave up with SVU after that stupid-ass "Stabler gets shot and then the squad saves a monkey in a basketball" episode last year. Good LORD, what are they smoking to write

I seem to recall hearing something similar during the last few years of Friends and I was more horrified then because the cast members were already disappearing to make millions on crappy films.

Yep, that's how the contracts are drawn up, which is probably why Richard Belzer has spent so long on there in the background not doing anything, because he gets paid regardless.

I watch. Get upset at stupid eps. but I confess that I still watch. And record each eps on DVR. More often then not, I erase it the next day.
