041✯NEW LAPTOP GET
As many of you know, my kitten tripped me and caused me to drop my laptop on the basement floor awhile back. And right after I left for Otakon, I got a call from Best Buy saying the cost of the repairs were too much, and they were just going to replace it (sadly, the harddrive wasn't able to be saved)
So I finally got over to Best Buy last night and snagged a shiny new Asus U81A-RX05. It's gorgeous, if a bit funny to get used to. I'm still working on getting all the pre-installed crap off, and my own stuff on it, which is so not my favourite part of shiny new computer :|
Which is where you come in, darling FList/Circle! Rec me software to try out! I've already got Firefox, mIRC, iTunes, Photoshop CS, CCCP, CDisplay, WinRAR, etc etc etc, which fill my basic software requirements, but hey, why not take advantage of shiny new computer to try some new stuff out?
So rec me software, add-ons (for Firefox, Windows Sidebar, etc), nifty wallpaper sites, what have you compatible with Windows Vista (64-bit). Good (free/illegal) video and audio editing software are especially appreciated.
Also! MY COMPUTER NEEDS A NAME. And I am feeling entirely uninspired with naming things.
