So the Borders interview.... Went a lot better than I wanted it to XD

Not only did Garth offer me the cafe position, but it has WAY better hours, more hour availability, and they'd start me at $7.50/hr. HomeGoods is offering me ONLY parttime hours, and $6.50/hr.

So uh. Looks like I have to call homegoods later and decline the job.

Only problem is, I still have another interview, because the Cafe Manager wasn't in yesterday. That interview will be sometime next week, and in the likely event that I get the job, I'll be starting training the following Monday.

And if I don't get this, I'm swallowing my pride and working at Burger King. I really, really don't want to, but with as much restaurant experience as I have, they should hire me pretty much on the spot.

All that aside, I'm at my grandparents house for the weekend. Which means pretty much no internet (this computer is CRAP and SLOW and this dialup hates my LiveJournal) until Sunday night ;_;
Also, I think my mother wants me to help them rip a deck apart, and I want to take advantage of my grandmother's beautifully spacious kitchen and cook something with her later. Y-Yay spending a weekend being productive? addfsdfadsfjds for the love of god people please text me ;;

Ooh, also, I finished American Gods last night. Holy hell that was one beautifully written book. So glad I picked up Anansi Boys at Borders, because Gaiman is now my Official Favorite Author.

Haven't seen my uncle yet this weekend, but I've had nice long conversations with my grandmother and grandfather (who is blind in one eye now, thanks to a blood clot! thank you for keeping me informed, family. WTF.)

Also it's my parent's 24th anniversary today. I may or may not make a big long emo post about this and realted issues when I get home on Sunday. I am decidedly Not In The Mood to get emo at my grandparent's house.

AM, HOWEVER, IN THE MOOD TO GO TROLL /b/. AT MY GRANDPARENTS HOUSE. THIS IS A GOOD IDEA Y/N?

books, family, technical difficulties, work
