What kind of a world do we live in where a man dressed up as a bat gets all my press time?

So a couple of nights ago my brother and I are watching The Dark Knight again. Fucking great movie. We start talking about the ying and the yang that is the batman and the joker when it hits me: Batman may or may not be the initial cause of people like the Joker. But he is the reason they continue to remain insane.

Think about it. Even sane people become somewhat unhinged when they unexpectedly get brutally attacked from the shadows by a stranger. Its even more disturbing when that attacker is dressed as a gigantic representation of a primal fear and acts in an incredibly intimidating manner. Now imagine that victim already has a mental imbalance, and well...

Just look at the condition of most of the Bat's rogue gallery. Most where unstable before he encountered them. Imagine a schizophrenic, he is just strolling along, minding his own business, happy at the fact the voices are quiet for the first time in a long time, and then this visage suddenly jumps out of the shadows and attacks him...

I mean, Mr. Wayne may not be the initial cause of their condition, but he is certainly sustaining and exacerbating the problem he is so desperately trying to eradicate. The APA should really file a suit or something.
