Disclaimer: Death Note ain't mine.

Everything in the world contains a certain percent of variables, which can easily be changed under the right circumstance.

Taken for example a meeting between two people from two different countries, one that miles away from another. They can meet, yet the chances for that happening is smaller than the chances that they can't. And perhaps it would be the case, unless the variables change.

And it did.

"Do you think we would have met if everything was different?" - he inquired, sipping on the bitter coffee and looking through the files that had just got brought in.

"Maybe Light-kun, the guesstimate was about 44.8% after all."

Hm, the percentage had been higher than he guessed, then again "- but 64.3% we wouldn't turned out the same as we are now."

Nodding, the brown haired genius returned to work with a tiny rare smile.

Some said everything is inevitable, and you can't change the fates. But who is it to say what happened is fate and what didn't, isn't?

Two people can be friends, yet at the same time they can be rivals, enemies, or even lovers. One can even be dead long before meeting the other, or they can even not meet each other at all. The world is not so detailed that it determined every happenings, but rather an outlined of what will happen and a vague sense of result. After all, there's no 100% when a variable exists.

Me: I have no idea what happened, my brain ran off while I was writing this.
