Intro
A Dying World
He opens his eyes, and withheld a tired sigh from leaving as he looks around. A not quite empty room, the eerie glow of green light emits from thousands upon thousands of  LED screen, the low rumble of machine and electricity. He feels tired, and old, as he probably is since more than a million years had passed when he came into this position.
Yet at the same time, somewhere in his mind, he feels young, as he probably is since he's only around 16. It feels weird, when knowing there're at least 2 of him right now, in this world, yet ... He wondered if he truly had made the right decision when accepting this kind of responsibility, the crack hadn't even pose a problem and he already want to pass on.
He's tired. He's not even sure how did those before him can handle this kind of paradox on their mind, on their life and still can go on millennia after millennia.
A light beep interrupted him from his thoughts, a tiny little red light flashing on his right, near the main screen.  Glancing briefly at it, he nods. Yes, it's probably time for him to go, a King can no longer rules when he is no longer care about what he rules, just as a God doesn't fit to be a God, when he is questioning his own existence.
Somehow it feels like déjà vu though, whenever he thinks about picking a replacement, like he had done this before.
He won't be surprised if this is the case, thousand of loops had passed, along with millions of experiments yet he and his precedents still have next to no answer how this world operates.
Perhaps,  if the one before him had recorded his/her finding, maybe he would already have the answer. Just maybe.
Blinking, he shakes his head and returns his attention to the screen. Let the election begins, this is probably his last anyway.
