Hat Attack!
so I finished the hat! yesterday I spent knitting a movie, ripping out, knitting 2 movies, ripping out. reading postings from knitters trying to be badass in a pastel suburban kind of way. reminding myself they can ALL probably knit better than me. having a total AHAH!!! moment reading stupid questions asked and answered 2 days ago. ripping again, changing needle size up to my lucky needles, the ones that the dog didn't eat. Oh, you thought I was kidding? well, I was kidding about some of it. not about the needles and the dog.
so here's the hat. it really is a math joke, binary system. it's supposed to represent the number 15. husby gets it. I don't. I had a really good time making it, all of yesterday he fed me, movied with me, explained binary and the hexadecimal system. I taught him music note values on the grounds that music is a mathematical language also. explaining a hemidemisemiquaver to a noob is always a hoot. I once taught a guitar player to transpose while driving a car and smoking a bowl. it's all about the numbers, baby.
