Mila Story, Sort Of
So, I took Mila to have her groomed (we do this three or four times a year, to have her trimmed and her teeth brushed and they use that little vacuum brush on her to suck up ALL the fur), and when I went to pick her up I bought a new, purple leash. Now, I've wanted her to have purple for a long time because they make this very vibrant color that I think looks pretty with her fur.
Rob has always gotten black and grey leashes and collars and ew. The compromise was dark green collar, black and grey leash. He's out of town though, and the leash broke sooooo....*shifty* I totally would have gotten a collar as well, but they didn't have it in purple today.
Rhowan: Hiii, I'm here to get Mila.
Amy: Do you have her collar or anything?
Rhowan: Uhmmmm, that would make sense, I guess, but I left it in the car. Here, I just bought this! *hands her the leash*
Amy: *trots off* OH! IT MATCHES THE BOWS!
Rhowan: *blinks* I thought she got a bandana? ((which, fyi, we haaaate, precious, hate))
Carmen: Amy has a thing for a bows. *looks at me ominously* Big ones.
Rhowan: *has totally missed the plural, is picturing a big bow around her neck and is wondering won't the leash crush it?*
Mila: *pulls Amy through the doors, wagging her tail SO HARD OMG and wearing a huge pink and purple bow IN EACH EAR*
Rhowan: *bursts out laughing so hard she has to sit down*
I think I offended Amy a bit, but then when I was paying and stuff I got the chance to look at her, and oh my goodness, they did a really REALLY good job trimming up her feet fur and claws. I said something about how usually people cut her claws too short and how much I liked her feet, and Amy smiled real big so it was okay. I also totally took a picture for Rob before I took the bows out.
Also, it was sort of nice because when we were leaving I think people were so distracted by the bows they didn't notice the missing leg. It gets old, having people go "Awwwwwww so pretty, OH MY GOD! IS SHE OKAY?!" On the other hand, I felt a little foolish because they were obviously thinking something along the lines of "o.o whoa."
