The Last Post of 2012! Wow!
So, guys, this year was kind of special. It marked a dream come true for me. Getting a book out has been a dream of mine since I was like seven years old, and thanks to Keira and Ellora's Cave and good timing and a fun concept that finally happened. And guess what? 2013 is starting off on the right foot because our second book, Ascending Hearts will be out January 2nd! I feel like that's the best omen ever for 2013!
Thank you, by the way, to all of you who read this journal, all who have read my fanfiction over the years, all who have encouraged me in all of my writing--original or fan. Especially thank you to the following people:
Mr. Rhi for putting up with me and my weird writerly ways. Jed for being my best friend, one of my biggest loves, and my confidante who always has confidence in me. Keira for steady and affectionate friendship and for sharing this journey with me. Rio for over twenty years of love, encouragement, and support. Huntress for her open-hearted acceptance and joy for my pursuits. Punny for boundless love and loyalty and a warm, welcoming couch to crash on when I need a writer's retreat. Jacyn for encouragement, perspective, and so many years of love and friendship. Alice for believing in me, writing with me, reading for me, and generally being awesome--if you ever decide to write that novel, bb, you know I've got your back. Aimee for unwavering support, sweetness of spirit, and generous friendship. Peggin for dependable friendship and beta reading and generosity. Suzycat for being such a wonderful friend from across the world. Amelia for sharing her hard won publishing lessons so generously and for being such a wonderful, open, loving person. Skylar for giving me the honor of seeing her books first and letting me do my thing with them--I am so excited for Exposed! Diana for the many years of encouragement and friendship, and Jodie for a short but important burst of intensive love and support that I will never forget--because nothing changes what was there. Kiddo for dealing quite well with Mommy going off for hours and hours and hours to disappear into her computer screen for results that are utterly intangible to you. My folks for support in all ways despite probably feeling like this writing this is really bizarre and unnecessary.
Most of all for every last reader out there. So that means you and you and you and you and you. Whether you've bought the book or not, whether you every buy any of the books, thank you for reading this journal or the fanfiction and letting me know that you liked what read. It encouraged and inspired me, it helped overcome a lot of long-held insecurities about my skill and talent and whether or not what I had to say was worth hearing. Thank you for every bit of feedback--small and large--and for being such a steady encouraging presence for the last almost 15 years.

1. Over at Sunlight Sucks a massive collection of m/m books has been rounded up to give away for free! Just comment to be included in the draw! The first book in the Tempting Tales series, Earthly Desires, is being offered up. It's perfect timing since, like I said, the second book is coming out January 2nd. For what it's worth, each book in the series is stand-alone, so you don't need to have read the first book to enjoy the second, but that's a pretty good haul in terms of free books. And all for the cost of a comment! Give it it whirl!
2. Earthly Desires is on sale for 50% off (after rebate) at All Romance eBooks! If you don't win it in the Sunlight Sucks drawing, you can't really beat that price!
3. I posted about the third book in the Tempting Tales Series, working title Dancing Shoes, on my blog. It features pictures of the models who helped inspire the characters and talks a little about the book itself.
4. I wrote a brief but glowing book review for Acceleration by Amelia Gormley. If you've not read her two books, then you should!
5. I posted requesting ideas for how to livestream the New Year's Eve Times Square festivities and the Tournament of Roses Parade. If you have additional ideas, please help! I'm still looking for the best option!
