Hi! I've been super sick. I feel as though I haven't updated here truly in awhile. So, this might be a longish one full of links and such.
First, announcements of the yay variety!
1. It's got a head (!!!) and a cute guy (!!!!) and it's so, so, so, so, so pretty, and it was made by the wonderful
Dar Albert out of Bellingham, WA. How is it that so many awesome and talented people I know/have worked with are from Bellingham or lived in Bellingham or know Bellingham well? It must have a magnetic field of awesome around it.
Isn't it a beauty? *twirls*
2. Which brings me to my other announcement--Keira's and my second book in the
Tempting Tales Series, a series of stand-alone fairy tale inspired m/m romantica--will be out on January 2nd. It's called Ascending Hearts, as you can see by the lovely cover, and it is a tale inspired by Jack & the Beanstalk. We're both excited for its release! Can't wait to see what y'all think of it!
3. Leta Blake Blog catch up below:
a) I'm doing a song a day for the rest of the month of December at my blog. Here go check out the first 17 songs!
Everything from Zombie Christmas to Drummer Boy to The Elf Boogie! And more to come, so check back there daily until New Year's Day. :)
b) At Darker Temptations
Keira and I blogged about our favorite holiday recipes: shortcake (yum!) and sweet potatoes (yum!) All the other bloggers there are also posting their holiday recipes, so I'm linking to the main site instead of just our post. We're only like two posts down right now, anyway. You can see what everyone posted, though! Some delicious stuff is up! :)
c) Reblogs:
--
I reblogged about In the Flesh from Pecanne Roll. It's a 90's gay film set in Atlanta. I've never heard of it before. Anyone have additional information/commentary? Anyone else seen it?
-- I reblogged about the role of adoption on Once Upon a Time via A Faded Ginger. It's something that's been a niggle for me about the show, too. --
I reblogged about Amelia Gormley making Melanie's best of 2012 list at Joyfully Jay! Go Amelia! --
And lastly, I reblogged about Sufjan Steven's Chattanooga show. No, I wasn't there, but I find Sufjan Stevens fascinating. I enjoy his music (most of the time) and I enjoy his flamboyant showmanship, and I find him an enigma, and thus intellectually and emotionally enjoy looking at photos and reading about the experience of his true fans. Maybe you will, too.
