I went to TCBY today to see Catherine and everyone was there--Ian, Jordan Schaeffer, Jaimie, her boyfriend, that lame girl Maria, and Ian's sister, who looks like she should be selling crack in El Barrio. Wait, that's not quite true--she's white.
Catherine and I had a discussion today about feelings. It actually wasn't an angsty conversation, considering the company and the subject matter. I was noticing how Jordan and Maria seem to be taking their expulsions (Maria is even getting deported back to Spain) really well. If that had been me, I would have been completely unable to function. It would have been on my mind constantly. Catherine agreed. So we had a discussion about how when either one of us feels anything, we feel it completely... which is why these feeling of disconnect is so weird for me. It won't go away, though. I continue to watch my friends at a distance, even if I'm standing directly next to them, as if they're just characters on a TV show.
Blake is leaving for camp tomorrow, and I didn't get to see him! Justin is leaving for Alaska on Tuesday. I gave him a book of Jamaican words and proverbs, and I've never seen him so giddy. Well... that's not quite true...
I feel stagnant.
