Interesting idea to have Martin be the one to arrange Isabella's marriage. It makes a lot of sense. I'm not so sure about Isabella enthusiastically embracing the idea, though; it seems too much at odds with her behavior in Season 3, though I suppose she could have rewritten history in her head after her marriage turned out to be bad.

Great Guy/Anne scene (poor Guy, he never does have any luck with women...), and his despair at having been abandoned by everyone is a very powerful moment.

I'm not so sure about Isabella enthusiastically embracing the idea, though; it seems too much at odds with her behavior in Season 3Well, first, season 3 is 20 years after the events of this story, and a lot can happen in that time, including the breakdown of a marriage that may not have been a nightmare to start with. I think, as you suggest, she changes her mind about who is responsible for her marriage to Thornton as the years go by. Selective amnesia, lol
