Complications..
Well, apparently Nothing in my life is simple.. haha.
So, I got home today, and changed, and looked in the fridge, and saw nothing particularly appetizing. I had a major craving for ice cream, and all our 3 or so containers of it are sugarless, low fat, and somehow substituted with rice.. I call it our 'new and improved immitation ice cream.'
I head out to Dunkin Donuts, because I dont have the energy to go to publix with a lot of ppl, many choices, large lines, far parking spaces, etc. and then have to end up dishing it out when I get home anyhow. Well, I get the ice cream, and go out to my truck, put my key in, turn it, and Nothing happens. So I call my aunt.. then I call AAA. They say they will be there in the next hour, so I open my hood, and see all of this green shit on my battery. I call my aunt, to talk to her about it, and we decide I should get a new battery. Well, I go next door to advanced auto parts, where I talk to some guy who tells me how much the battery is, and that they put them in for free. So I go to make the call to AAA to tell them that we are sure it's the battery and Im going to get it replaced, but the guy is already there, so I go over to tell him, what was happening, and he said for me to let him give it a try. Well, personally, I thought he sounded rather stoned; with his cigarette in his mouth he opens it up, and said, "OH yeah, it's just corroded, and he picks all of the green shit away." He hooks his starter up to it, and I turn the battery on, but it doesn't do anything, we try 3 more times, and he said "damn, even my starter wont work, and it can start semis and such" SO I go next door, and get the battery, and the guy brings his cart over, and he replaces it, and now my truck works fine.. and I am going to go get the oil changed, and have them check a few other things..
You know, when the battery is corroded, the light doesn't go on which is shit..
