This week's featured article is
Southampton Arms, NW5 1LE, a very good real ale and real cider pub in
Gospel Oak.
With twelve handpumps and beers from breweries such as Dark Star, Red Squirrel, and Art Brew, as well as ciders by Millwhites and Burrow Hill, it's no surprise that
rjw1 has added this to his list of "the ten or so pubs in London which are really worth going to".
Notable additions to RGL in the past week include
Platform at London Bridge, and a substantial update on the
Prince of Wales (ex Princess of Wales) in South Wimbledon.
Only one permanent reported closure -
Prince Regent on Gloucester Road.
In terms of temporary closures,
L'Anima near Liverpool Street is closed for extension work until at least the first week of September, and the Hammersmith & City/Circle lines are closed between Hammersmith and Paddington inclusive until Monday 16 August.
