First order of business, Happy 10th Anniversary, (Yesterday Thursday), to my beautiful wife! Yes, I would do it all again!

Second, Microsoft SUCKS!!!! I had to spend the past two days backing up my files then doing a 'System Recovery' and rebuilding all my settings. All because IE is a piece of crap!

Third, and more important than number two but I had to get that off my chest, the housing saga continues. And it's positive!

(In case you need to catch up)
From Journal entry May. 27th, 2007; "The housing situation. We've looked at several rentals, there are a couple that are just about perfect, but ... for the amount of rent we would be shelling out, we could just as easily be making a house payment. So, we've hired a mortgage consultant. The company is called Highland Mortgage Banc and they are rather progressive. Here's how it works, we met with the consultant, got to know each other a bit and filled out the application. We got to list our needs and our wants and she explained the process and a couple of our options. The cost? Initially, $25 to run all of the credit scores. In the end, 1% of the loan which can even possibly be negotiated into the closing costs and covered by the seller! :-) But I'm getting ahead of myself. Right now, we are in the waiting phase. Waiting for the reports to come back. She figures we should be in touch again by Thursday."

Our credit is not as bad as we thought, for one. And for another, there are two lenders, so far, who are willing to finance up to 90% of the price of the home! One is up to $115,000 and the other is up to $120,000! This blows my mind. I mean, it's great but I was expecting to hear something like 'Well, maybe in five years or so ...'.

Wow.

But, being the realist, I am much more comfortable with the "back up plan". That, basicly, has us waiting six months to a year, continuing to actively build our credit up to help us get a much better rate. And at the same time we can be saving in case we aren't able to get 100% financing.

So, yeah that was a very nice anniversery gift. :-)

Now on to the fourth item, health. On my end the only thing to report is that I had my yearly eye appointment and as I suspected, my prescrition needs to be stronger, but not due to my diabetes. So that's kind of good news, sort of. Now the real concern is my wife's health. We just went to her OBGYN for an ultrasound to confirm she has fibroid masses on her uterus. But he was more concerned with her last PAP test. It came back abnormal and enough so that the lab suggested getting a biopsy to rule out cervical cancer. So in a few weeks the wife will be going in so they can do quite a bit of tissue collection. On the one hand it's scary, the doctor is saying possibly a full hysterectomy as treatment for the fibroids. But on the other hand, we don't plan to have any more biological children, we may adopt or foster, but we opted out of the natural route and so that factor of the hysterectomy isn't a big deal. But either way, there's a level of anxiety that will be building till after the results come back.

Well, I guess I better get to bed. I need every bit of sleep and then some lately. :-)
