the end of an era

So I've had this livejournal for about nine years, and finally the time has come to put the old girl down. I'm not going to delete the account or anything, but soon I will stop updating it for good. I just started a tumblr, which will mostly be used for posting personal stuff, and I will eventually start a formal blog which will be used exclusively for professional matters. It's been a wild ride, and most of the best and worst of the last nine years are documented in loving detail on this journal. For my next post, I'm going to do a kind of retrospective, reprinting all of the best and weirdest moments I had with this journal. Unfortunately, lj archives only go back to 2004, so all the stuff before that will have to be remembered manually by my feeble brain. Anyway, here is the link to my tumblr:
