"... when he's trying to help 15 customers and then asks me to do something while he runs back to grab a bolt. That's very bad."
These are the sentences I walked in on when I entered my bosses office to ask if she could watch the front while I tackled a task in the back-room. There are two male employees. The other was not working. The store was empty.
I don't think I've ever put my employer in the above situation, but there's a good chance she was referring to me. The likelihood that she was referring to the other male employee - Buddy - is slim. He's been working there for 10 years, so complaining would be pointless. Conversations with Becky (my employer) have been otherwise tense, though not for any reason she's indicated. She even seemed both elevated and defensive when I asked if the new schedules were up.
I'm doing my best to be good with the customers, profitable for the company, good natured with the other employees, and hard working for my employer.
If there's a problem or peeving behavior, I'm not being told what it is, and yet I feel like my job is in jeopardy. Life is really flashing that "fuck you" sign again, isn't it. ... even at a shit job... what's wrong with me?
