What the? Bet none of y'all saw this coming
Yes. An actual honest to god journal update. How very strange. I think its been over a year since the last one. Perhaps this is an annual thing? Not sure.
Where to start. Just moved into a new place with the girlfriend, whom some of you have met. Its largely a disaster area at the moment, but after painting is complete we can actually unpack, at which point it should shape up nicely. Landlords are AMAZING, they've been bringing me home made sri-lankan food every day or so because, and I quote "i work too much to have to cook for myself". Its quite nice of them really. And its AWESOME, so that definately helps.
Speaking of working too much.....some of you will likely give me hell for this, I am aware. On top of the hell job that my catering gig has become (hell job for a number of reasons : too many hours, no days off, expected to do EVERYTHING, boss is a prick, no raise in now 3 years running etc etc.) I have taken a part time (read supposed to be part time, but more like full time) job back at my old restaurant. No, im not sure why this sounded like a good idea. Saving up for a wedding? Sure, lets go with that one.
Aside from those things, not alot to report as I havent had the spare time to do anything else for the past little while. Just thought id put something down here in lieu of actually getting to SEE any of my friends. How's January for you folks?
