Token black person

or,

Dive full of hillbillies

I was off yesterday. To make the day productive, I went to work out in the morning and then went tanning. I then came back to my apartment and started drinking and doing housework. As I did my laundry, washed the dishes, and ironed, I had a few orange vodka and tonics and a watermelontini. Then, I went to pick up Mathew and bring him back to Jeffrey's apartment, where I had a few glasses of whiskey and water. When I returned to my apartment, I fell asleep until like 11 PM.

I woke up and called Jeffrey. He was at the Inn Place. I don't usually go there on Saturday nights, because it's karaoke night so it's too loud and crowded. But, I went, and I ran into Leah, the Inn Place's token black person. We talked about singing a duet, but unfortunately, Leah only listens to country and rock. We could not find a single song by a black artist that she knew well enough to sing with me. I only stayed there for one beer.

Jeffrey and I left, because the really was too crowded for me. We first went to this bar that my coworker, Sommer, likes, The Royal Inn and 14 and Rochester. Total dive full of hillbillies. There were like ten people in there, only one of whom was a woman. We only stayed there for one beer, because it was obvious that Jeffrey was antsy to get someplace with more people our age. We then went to Ye Olde Saloon, which is generally where you go when all the bars in downtown Royal Oak are too crowded. There was a fucking wait to get in. We went back to the Inn Place, and it looked even more crowded than before, so I dropped him off and went home. My nightcaps included a Long Island Iced Tea and a Washington Apple.
