I am in love with Jennifer Hudson
Even though I of course had noone to go with me, I really wanted to see the what the big buzz about Jennifer Hudson's performance in "Dreamgirls" was all about. I went to the Star Southfield and was of course like the only white person I saw in the theater, and I came out knowing exactly what the buzz was about. I still remember being on my bed at Tibor Manor the night that Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia, and LaToya London were the bottom three on American Idol, and being positively scandalized by it. I read somewhere that Elton John agreed with me, and he said it was merely a result of America's racism, since they were the best three on the show.
In any event, Jennifer Hudson was incredible. The bitch upstaged Beyonce, Eddie Murphy, Jamie Foxx, and everybody else. She sang the hell out of those songs. The audience applauded her singing as if she could actually hear us. On the way home, all other music was inferior. I wanted to hear nothing aside from Jennifer Hudson. I came straight home and downloaded the soundtrack from Itunes. That's how good she was.
