the value of friends

When i looked up in the sky,

I saw a bird flying by.

I asked the bird “Where have you been”,

The bird said “In the cage of a queen”.

When I looked up in the sky,

I saw some dark clouds passing by.

I asked the clouds “Where have you been”,

The clouds said “The sun came in between”.

When I looked up in the night,

I saw a star shining bright.

I asked the star “Where have you been”,

The star said “On the pages of a magazine”.

When I looked up in the sky,

I cried “Dear God please tell me why’,

What made you so mean?

Why was no one to be seen.

God said “Oh my dear child”.

Please don’t be wild.

All of you wanted to be lonely,

I fulfilled your wishes only.

You wanted no friend,

You wanted everything to end.

So I made all of you alone

Now every one of you have a life of your own.

I said “Dear God, now I understand why”,

You wanted me to cry.

You wanted me to feel the pain,

Without friends life is of no gain.

Now I wish to smile,

Even though it takes a while.

For every sorrow, Happiness is the key,

Thank u God for always being with me.
