I think I've finally realized what 'dating' is.
'Making regular, semi-ritualized appointments to have sex'.
...sounds mean, but when I think about it really hard, that's all I can come up with. Wait, how is it mean? It doesn't say anything about romance, or being friends. You can have (unplanned) sex with friends, sure. I think I like this definition. I'm gonna roll with it for a while.
So...I guest 'first dates' are for sniffing the other person out?
But what about dates where doesn't happen? I imagine married people go on those. (That was a joke, in case you didn't get that.) But really...what does a celibate person mean when they say they're dating someone? I guess I should go to, like, an asexual forum to ask...like AVEN or something..but eh. Really don't care about AVEN... eh, dangit.
Being a grace (gray-ace...lol. Wait. Pretty sure I don't like that. It feels like I'm calling myself a
[Bright], which I hate) kinda sucks. You're are more likely to think about this crap. And being a gray-a feminist...LAWDY.
...ROCKS FALL, EVERYONE MAKES OUT BEFORE THEY DIE.
Now....if only I knew what the fuck gender was. Traditionally, I go with the second gen. feminist definition, that sex and gender are two separate entities. But there are times when I think that definition has problems if you can't figure out where gender comes from, from society or the brain. Because...uh...what about trans people? Is that about sex (of the body, not having sex) or gender expression? Or is it both?
Shit. I hate it when RP throws serious questions at you like that.
Or do I just hate that I'm from a world that largely equates sex and gender? I don't know!
NORSU! WHY CAN'T YOU BE REAL?? *cries* I worldbuild to escape all this shit, okay...? D:
