It's a period costume drama about a young Victorian governess coming of age who has to choose between two suitors: one who is poor but earnest in his protestations of love, and another who is wealthy but cold and distant though he seems to have hidden depths. It's based on a lost Charlotte Bronte novel that they found partially written when they went through some old books from her estate.
There may be dueling pistol whippings as well.
