A Human Right are fundraising to buy a satellite from a company that's going bankrupt, with plans to provide internet access to people going without.  Candidates are Papua New Guinea, which has a connected rate of only 2.1%, or any number of possible locations in Africa.  (They'll move the satellite to where they need it.)  A worthy cause indeed.  ( Read more... )

Okay, so I have 4 pairs of shoes - dressy boots, dressy pumps (uncomfortable), casual skechers with giant holes in the bottoms, and worn skechers sneakers. So I kind of need some presentable everyday work shoes. I'm thinking of getting two pairs, and one of them is going to be one of these. Which do you vote for?
