I could do without the whoops and ayups that bellydance folk do, which riddle the first half or so of the routine, but the net effect is sheer cool.

This guy decorated his whole basement with, according to the headline, $10 worth of Sharpie. It's amazing.

I have discovered - not for the world, but in my life - the art of Keith Thompson. His stuff is beautiful, and one of the really cool things is that he writes a story description to go with each one. My favorite so far is the Luxury Nautiloid:

In my extensive peregrinations on the interwebs of late (on which more later), I have found tons and tons of cool things. One thing is this phenomenon of custom vinyl toys. Right, so this morning, I am finishing this paper.

And then my colleague, who is studying for an art history exam showed me something by the artist Barbara Kruger, and I started looking for more, and that led me to this: The Artists' Network of Refuse & Resist. So that's very cool, and we should all love it and hug it and call it George.
