The West Ohio Annual Conference 2009
...is finished, early to boot! Can you believe that? Conference went smoothly this year really! Now, when will the other shoe drop? Only 6 of the Amendments passed. The controverisal ones didn't. (like The Name change for global equality purposes from central to regional) (Amendment 1 failed-because pastors need to discern membership- not even taking the gender issue, unrepented heart, it could mean an unsaved person could be a member.)
The Local Pastors who have done the coursework passed here- if this gets 2/3 of all annual conferences then local pastors could vote on sending delegates to general conference , not just ordained clergy.
The worship was great. The Bishop "fixed" us in appointment! I feel a refreshing peace with that. I felt a burden lift today. It's personal. But, something positive to help me out happened.
Well, it sure is nice to have a day to rest and sabbath here at the lake.
