SUMMER 2006 UPDATE:

-Graduated high school. Strange, hot feeling during the ceremony. Felt awkward when the girl sitting next to me was tugging at her hair extensions.
-Got a new car. A 1982 volvo 240 wagon, complete with a primered paint job and a grateful dead sticker on the back window. I was really excited about the car at first, but then Sean the auto mechaninc called and told me it was "in a world of pain" and not to drive it out of town, because it could puke green water, overheat, and seriously blow up. Explode. He said the wiring in the engine looked like it was done by a toddler.
-Performed with some inspiring people this month, learning quite a bit about my own music, the music of others, and songwriting in general. How to write and sing humbly. To give and show no ownership. Opened for Karl Blau, Your Heart Breaks, Worms, and visited Prescott and Tucson with my "band that includes Aaron Neber but is not limited to Aaron Neber,  because it also features Christian Reeb', and played a set in the alley behind the elna rae house. (Where's that tape?)
-Recording a new batch of songs for the release on Arbor, a new label from Illinois. Halfway done. Featuring hopefully everybody on at least one song. If anybody has something to contibute the recording, let me know. Should be out by August.
-Trying to finish Aaron Neber's record. Still the best songwriter in Arizona. Breaks me in HALF, man.
-Met Miles Kurosky from Beulah yesterday, and the bastard refused to shake my hand. I stuck it out, and he waved his hands, shook his head and whispered "noooo". Didn't know how to take it, so I just backed away very slowly before the bearded terror pounced on me or something.
-Still unemployed and loving it.
-Friendsdays Wednesdays!
-Wearing my "Tucson Summer Time Fun Club" T-Shirt a bunch. Showering not a bunch.

Also, I only have 20 copies of "Brotherly Love & Judgement" left, so If you want one, order it through myspace, or talk to me in person! (Derek, I'm mailing your 80 copies this week)
