Okay, now I'm basically just doing this for amusement :-).  I found a German review of the Rizzoli & Isles pilot, and put it through both Google Translate and Reverso.net.  The translations are even worse than for the French review I posted a couple of days ago, but the hilarity factor is proportionately higher!  However, if any real German

Can you believe I still hadn't searched for Spanish info about R&I? I'm so absorbed by the original version that I just didn't think of it. Especially because I thought we still didn't have it in Spain. Turns out we do, in a not very well-known channel called Calle 13. I can't find at what time it airs or even if it's already over (which might probably be the case).

I didn't find many reviews. At least not very interesting ones (I blatantly ignored the ones that didn't acknowledge the chemistry between Sasha & Angie. How dare they? Who do they think they are?)

So, I found one by ¡Vaya Tele! that, for starters, has "R&I, conventional cases saved by a couple with great chemistry" as a title. I just love it. It's so gay. It basically says that the crime stuff kinda sucks (they specifically state that the finale got out of hand, LOL) and that what makes it worth watching is the relationship between the two protagonists. They even say that Jane & Maura have a chemistry that some other shows' supposedly attracted protagonists wish they had, after which the reviewer adds in brackets "don't be surprised if you start seeing tributes to them in a Xena/Gabrielle kind of way". ROTFLMAO!!! Also, they keep comparing R&I to Bones, especially Maura to Brennan. I also find funny the fact that, back in July (just after the 2nd episode had aired), that very same website already wrote a review in which they made clear they could already see the chemistry. Somebody even left a comment specifying the "romantic" nature their relationship seemed to have (here). I'm pointing this out because it's not a queer forum or anything, but an ordinary TV stuff site. The title for this first Spanish review is also hilarious -"R&I, a strange couple that needs to work more."

I also found a blog (Blog Yo no me aburro) that reviews Maura's wardrobe, which I found quite funny. The girl seems to have gotten all excited with the Mary Quant miniskirt reference Dr.Isles makes in 1.02. If you click on the R&I tag, there's some interesting comments she makes about the protagonists' clothes (or lack thereof). She even calls Maura the Grissom fashionista.

And, of course, a very famous Spanish lesbian website/community, Lesbicanarias, has even written recaps of each and every episode. They're quite funny. And the ladies commenting on them below also make you laugh. I don't know, it's just so weird to me, because it's like the same kind of comments we make here but in Spanish. I know it's my mother tongue and all, but I'm so used to seeing them in English that it just makes me giggle. They also use the term "Rizzles". It's sooo weird to see their jokes/bantering translated into Spanish (sometimes even wrong -it HURTS). It's just... not the same. I'm so glad I can speak/understand English.

OK, I don't have much time, so this is all I could come up with in a quick search. Hope it helps, although I'm sure there might be more interesting stuff in Spanish out there.

So I think I may need to detox or something, but right now I'm indulging my addiction to Google Translate, so I put the Lesbicanarias subtext review for the pilot into it and cracked myself up reading the English translation! The program actually seems better with Spanish than French or German, but still, some mistranslations and random gender shifts are quite funny, e.g.:

"I do not know that from Otalia not much contact is needed for the chemical and complicity do we think that there's more!"

"Maura lie down beside her and the other asks "Is it a pajama party or feel attracted to me?" Obviously the second and both start laughing, with my years of psychology, it is essential to joke that dare not The poly-say ... sexy voice has the great idea to tell him that you can go to his room to rest ...."

Actually, I wonder what would happen if I took this English translation and Google-translated it into, say, German, then French, then back into English? Hmm, I need help ...

Hahaha, you seem to be very into this translation thing, huh? Enjoy yourself! ;) If you need help translating something from Spanish, you know where I am =) By the way, the "pajama party" reference is our way to referring to "sleepover".
