First, some general impressions of the March 22nd airing of "The Colour of Magic" on RHI/ION TV . . . from someone who has yet to actually read any Terry Pratchett other than Good Omens (co-authored with Neil Gaiman) many years ago: ( no real spoilers, I think, but just in case )

I taped "Dead and Deader" off the Sci-Fi Channel last night and watched it after church this afternoon, because much as I loathe most of those "Monster of the Week" pseudo-sci-fi cheese-fests, I still adore Dean Cain for his work on "Lois and Clark"And besides, this one was kind of fun, with more tongue-in-cheek pop culture and movie references ( Read more... )

I'm still working on my dissertation, but I've ended up concentrating on chapter four, the one dealing with theology, first, because I think if I can get that chapter to work, it'll give me enough of a confidence boost to complete the rest. ( brief moaning about excruciatingly slow progress )

Just a brief note, for now: I saw "Underworld: Evolution" on Friday, and I thought it was quite enjoyable, especially since I truly enjoyed the first "Underworld" film. You'd never know how cheaply it was produced, from what you see on the screen. I might have preferred to see more focus on the relationship between Selene and Michael Corvin ( ( Read more... )
