Writer's Block: My First Car
My grandfather's cherry 1956 Dodge, robin egg blue and white, with huge fins! I loved those fins! Also had a push button gear selector on the dash...very space age! I loved that care so much...and wouldn't you know...after one month of driving it, some cheerleader who just got her license, driving her daddy's big new Buick, ditched it on a cold, snowing night on a sharp curve in the rear driveway of our high school, and I of course hit the ice and slide right into her huge fin! Demolished my car (the fins were fine and so was I thankfully). So we junked it and went to a tin can called a Ford Falcon (arrgghhh). I still dream of those fins!
