What a lovely surprise. I've been feeling a bit out of sorts about all things fannish lately, so much so that although I've been reading my flist pretty much as often as I could get online, I didn't feel like participating much. A while ago TB (accidentally) broke the main PC and with it all my vidding stuff. I'm still trying to work out how to put all that back together.
Work has been challenging (mostly in a good way) and other aspects of RL meant I couldn't spend that much time online. I spent the best part of the last 6 months preparing for a marathon and then I got sick on the day. I really hope Mother Nature has better plans for me next year, because this latest effort of hers sucked like a new Dyson.
But! I'm still all in one piece and really enjoying learning to play the guitar. I have my own little amp and I can make an unholy racket if I so choose. I also have a new, cunning plan for my next marathon. As my favourite quote of the week goes, it doesn't matter what happened before you fell down, what matters is what you did after you got back up. Or something. I didn't actually fall over this time. And I can't even remember the proper quote.
Finally, I'm really looking forward to dSSS. I wish all the vidders, writers and other arty contributors all the inspiration necessary to produce yet another collection of wonderful pieces of fannish glee.
