[140712] f(x) red light fansign
So we found out from our friend that there was an f(x) fansign in Myeongdong. When I heard about it, I didn't think we'd have a chance to get in considering it was in the middle of Seoul and on a Saturday. But when Kat was getting the albums, I made my decision to try for it too.
Little did we know that I was one of the lucky people to get in??? I was kind of near the last of the people, so I was sitting in my seat for the longest time just staring at them, enjoying the music and watching as the fans go by one by one.
So the first person we got to see was Victoria.
Me: *in Mandarin* My name is Victoria too!
Vic: *looks very surprised and shocked (probably because I was speaking in Mandarin)* (she asked me a question in Mandarin, I think about me learning, but I didn't know at the time)
Me: *in Korean* I'm from America
Vic: *in English* A little Chinese?
Me: Yes!
Vic: *signs the album and says thank you.*
Me: *in Mandarin* You're very beautiful
Vic: *in English* Thank you~
Afterwards I found it very amusing that we were communicating in three languages...
Next was Amber. Everything was in English, obviously.
Amber: Hey there! *looks at my name.* Victoria? Your name is Victoria? Her name is Victoria! *points to Victoria* One of you should change your names! Like get together and do something about it.
Me: *she was speaking a lot and I didn't know what to say. ;;*
Amber: So, where are you from?
Me: I'm from California.
Amber: California? Alright! *gives me a high five* What part of California?
Me: San Francisco.
Amber: Oh pssh, nevermind! *I start laughing and she continues being dramatic* People from the Bay think they're all that.
*Krystal, who's sitting on Amber's other side, side-eyes Amber (since Krystal is from San Francisco too. yay!). Amber starts signing my book then.*
Krystal: *to me* But they're good, aren't they?
Me: Of course!
Amber: *signs the album* Nah, my sister has done stuff in Northern California too.
Me: I was at kcon and I went to the panel that your sister was at
Amber: Oh, don't listen to anything she says! *laughs*
Me: She said that she was there to embarrass you! She was telling us embarrassing stories.
Amber: Yeah, that's why don't listen to anything she says!
Obviously, after that came Krystal. She was really beautiful up close. Her conversation was in English too.
*Krystal starts signing my album.*
Me: Would you consider yourself from the Bay Area?
Krystal: *thinks about it for a moment* Yeah, why not? *finishes signing the album and hands it back to me* I lived there for a while and I do miss it.
Me: I do have another question. Since you know more than one language, what language do you think in?
Krystal: Hm... that depends... *she looks over at Amber.*
*Amber looks at Krystal and I ask Amber the same question.*
Amber: Definitely English. It depends 'cause sometimes it's Konglish. But for her it's mostly Konglish.
Next was Sulli. While I was sitting in my seat waiting, she was laughing a lot too, from what the fans would say mostly but I think also from the others. When it was my turn with Sulli, she was speaking Korean to me, and even asked it a bit slower, but it seems like there was a lot of miscommunication so we didn't get to talk much. After she signed my album, I said "I'm sorry!!!" in Korean.
The last person was Luna. She surprised me by how much English she knew too. And she was full of smiles and cuteness.
Luna: Oh, hi! Where are you from?
Me: I'm from California.
Luna: Oh California. I like California!
Me: Yeah! For SMTown LA, I went there too.
Luna: *in Korean* Why are... *switches to English* Why are you in Korea?
Me: I'm an English teacher.
Luna: English teacher? Nice!
*signs my album. she was about to say bye.*
Me: Your hair, I really like it short.
Luna: Thanks, I like it too. Bye~ nice meeting you!
