Sockenschuss - actually a Sockenschuss is (according to wikipedia) when you casually sew your socks together so you don´t have to search them. However if someone tells you that you have one it means that you are a bit on the odd side

Oooh, I wonder if "Uppsala" is a bit like in English when you says "oops-a-daisy" when you trip over?

Uppsala has no real meaning in German, but oops-a-daisy sounds damn cute! Unfortunetly I think I´d confuse people even more than I already do if I use that one :-D I think I confuse Swedes when I hang around there, stumble and shout the name of one of their bigger cities ;-)

Just like when I say "Tschuldigung" which is nothing but "Sorry". I use it automatically no matter which country I´m at if I run into someone :-D

Hahahah, I get confused in Spain and blurt out French! "Pardon!" Of course, it's not too far off seeing as it's "perdon". I asked my (fluent Spanish-speaker stepmum) what Spanish word I should use if I bump into someone and she said "I wouldn't bother - they don't say anything." Hahaha! Although I think it's supposed to be "Lo siento". "Perdon" is more like if you mishear someone. I think...

I remember enschuldigung from doing German at school! I only did two years though. Das Schloss ist um die Ecke. ;)
