A little dictionary of German expressions...
Sockenschuss - actually a Sockenschuss is (according to wikipedia) when you casually sew your socks together so you don´t have to search them. However if someone tells you that you have one it means that you are a bit on the odd side....
Du hast einen Schatten - this means "You have a shadow" in translation, however it means about the same as having a "Sockenschuss"
Holla die Waldfee - this would translate as "Holla the forrest-fairy" and is an expression of surprise such as...
Herrjemine - this is something you say if you are negatively surprised
Uppsala - is actually a swedish city, however whenever we stumble we tend to say it. I found no reference why.
