new year - new goals;

I hope everyone had a nice holiday and new years. Mine was pretty good (apart from my new breathing problems... that I will talk about at another time.)... didn't really do anything on New Years Eve. I stayed home with Kevin and our friend Pete showed up. Hung out with them for a while then ran over to the parents place and got my food and my New Years present. Yes, a New Years present. My dad goes out and buys us a little something to ring in the new year with. This year I got a necklace with the letter K, a charm bracelet with different types of shoes on it and an oriental rice bowl set. Fun stuff!

So, I'm back at work today and I really would have appreciated the rest of this week off - as do most of the people in the college. Anyway... I've decided to try and do a few things this year for myself... not really resolutions, just goals/ideas I'd like to do throughout the year. This is what I'd like to accomplish in 2007:

1. Work out 3-4 times a week
[I was doing really well up until about mid November and then school really hit hard, now I am going to get back into it. I did a bunch of crunches tonight and tried the treadmill... didn't do that too long because of the breathing thing...]

2. I've decided to do something similar to embodiment. I will journal... but I will not journal everyday. I'm going to try and do something creative/artistic every day - whether it be journaling, ATCs, paintings, altered art... I want to try and do something creative daily. If I miss a day or two here and there, that is fine.

3. I want to read more... I want to get to know more authors and expand my reading knowledge.

4. I want to really get my yard/gardens in shape this year. I hope to start a mini garden journal to track my progess. I think it'll be great fun.

That's all I've thought up right now. I will eventually add more I'm sure, but this is a start to the year. I've already started on #1-3 and I'm about to go to #3 right now.
