NURSE AT WORK, "You are right Rafael, you always have to be right"
ME AT WORK, "It's not a matter of right, it is a matter that you are assuming things that you have no idea about"

So here is the issue... was watching some tele at work and the story was about a boy (who by the way is a

long as no one is physically injured by doing so.
It's also okay to do so, as long as that person is not
emotionally traumatized by it, as well.
But, to make a blanket statement which says that all
kids who hate a teacher are going to end up wearing
trenchcoats and shooting up their school is about
the most ignorant thing I've heard a human say in a long time.
I grew in the 1960's.. yes, THAT era. We hated a few teachers
in my elementary school, a second grade teacher, a fifth,
and a sixth grade teacher, too. We would draw pictures depicting
them having to suffer various modes of torture. We'd speak
badly of them away from, and even in school.
No one shot up our school. Teachers would retire, new ones
began employment there. None of them, and not a single child
back then were shot at school.
Nowadays, it's a bit different. School shootings occurr.
Overpopulation, parents who are too busy with work, bullying
at school .. these are factors
But I think it's just plain stupid to issue blanket statements
that say, " Every kid who hates a teacher will kill."
How about this: " Some disturbed kids will kill other students
and teachers." ? This sounds much more rational.
That this individual you know can also say that " All gay people
are going to Hell." is another matter, and is one of my biggest
pet peeves.
Religion was invented as a way of controlling the masses with fear
of terrible punishment for bad behavior, and rewards beyond measure
for good behavior.
Many people actually do believe in being kind to others.
Many do not. They use a 2,000 year old book with conflicting
passages and chapters to justify and preach their hate.
If poeple would JUST take the simple message of Jesus -
Which was that we should love everyone and be good to them -
to heart - then, this could be a world of kindness, human
growth and scientific progress as imagined by writers, poets,
artists, and dreamers.
Regardless of what some believe - that Jesus is a fictional
character - the message of love is still quite relevant.
