COMIC CON POST.

Jul 09, 2006 14:34

TO ALL FRIENDS IRL:
We are planning to go to Comic Con from Friday, July 21 to Sunday July 23. This is the official post with information, links and etc. Please comment with any pertinent information you may have or any questions. I tried to make this as thorough as possible.

WHO'S COMING:
Androo, Abby (me), Keenan, Travis, James, Dan, Nick, Raymond(he's already in San Diego) Anyone else?

WHEN WE'RE GOING:
Thursday night (July 20). If Keenan needs to leave on Friday, we need a Friday car.

WHO'S DRIVING:
??? yet. James can't, but maybe Nick, Keenan or Dan. We need two cars, nonetheless.

WHERE WE'RE STAYING:
Either Travis/Raymond's place or Linda's. More about this when I get more info.

MONEY:
Bring CASH for merchandise (many vendors don't take cards, PENNY ARCADE DOES THOUGH WOOT), food (we are probably going to hit up a grocery store like we did last time WHICH WAS THE BEST IDEA EVER), misc. things that we might need money for. I'd bring at LEAST $100, if not $200.

BRING:
+ Clothes
+ Money
+ Pillow
+ Toiletries
+ A camera
+ A DS if you have one.
+ Your great personality.

PARKING:
On Friday, we can probably park near the Convention center.

On the weekend, to minimize parking costs and long walks to the car, I've decided that we can park in Mission Valley at Qualcomm Stadium for free and take the trolley down to Downtown SD, which conveniently stops in two places right in front of the convention center. We have to leave fairly early to catch the LOST panel and such, so I hope you're all up to the CHALLENGE.

A day pass for the trolley/bus system:
Two-Day Tripper: $9.00 (allows use on 2 consecutive days you want to ride)
Three-Day Tripper $12.00 (allows use on 3 consecutive days from date of purchase)

PRE-REGISTRATION:
A 4 day pass is $65. $5 cheaper than getting day passes individually. (Friday - $25, Saturday - $30, Sunday - $15).

WHO WILL BE THERE:
Penny Arcade, Questionable Content, Blizzard, Nintendo, Nickelodeon, Privateer Press, among others. All exhibitors can be found here.

Behind the cut, there's a sample of who will be doing panels at Comic Con this year, divided by day. A full extensive list of programming can be found here.
